Eligibility Criteria for Children with needed special protection to Receive Legal Aid
Victims or Aggrieved Persons;
Orphaned children with one surviving parent and children under the care of a legal guardian shall meet the same eligibility criteria as persons living in poverty.
Note
Children with needed special protection are children who are orphans, half-orphans, abandoned children, children deserted by or neglected by their parents in terms of care and upbringing, children who are physically abused, sexually abused, involved in prostitution, victims of human trafficking, engaged in work under conditions that pose serious risks to their lives or health or involve labour exploitation, migrant children, children addicted to narcotic drugs, children affected by AIDS or HIV, and children who are victims in legal proceedings.
