On the morning of 17 September 2024, at the Ministry of Justice, under the Rule of Law, Access to Justice and Good Governance Project in the Lao PDR (Lao/037), represented by Dr. Lone Lindholt, Senior Project Sector Advisor, a total of six (6) categories of IT equipment were formally handed over. The items include: (1) portable speaker, (2) smartphone, (3) notebook computer, (4) projector, (5) printer, and (6) external hard disk (USB).

The aforementioned IT equipment is intended for legal aid service offices at provincial and district levels in the project’s target areas. The handover was formally received by Dr. Jomkham Bupphalivan, Head of the Department of Justice Management and Legal Promotion, together with staff representatives from both sides.

On this occasion, Dr. Jomkham Bupphalivan expressed warm appreciation and gratitude to the Lao/037 Project for its continued support and contribution to the justice sector. He emphasized that the assistance will enhance the capacity of legal aid service personnel, facilitate the delivery of legal services, and improve convenience for citizens accessing such services. Furthermore, it contributes to strengthening and promoting equitable access to justice for the general public in a more comprehensive manner.
