The District Justice Office of Borikhan District, Bolikhamsai Province, conducts outreach on legal instruments and provides a mobile legal consultation desk

From 22 to 25 June 2026, the District Justice Office of Borikhan District, Bolikhamsai Province, conducted an outreach campaign on legal instruments and provided mobile legal consultation services in four target villages of Namheuang Cluster, Borikhan District, Bolikhamsai Province. The activity was led by Mr. Phonsong Phyaset, District Party Committee Member and Head of the District Justice Office, together with the district task force, village authorities, and residents of the four target villages, with a total of 175 participants, including 77 women.

The objective of this activity was to disseminate the content and spirit of legal instruments issued at different stages, as well as Decree No. 77/PM on Legal Aid, to village authorities and local residents, enabling them to better understand and access legal processes. The activity also aimed to strengthen awareness of legal compliance, prevent and address social issues, enhance the effectiveness of state administration and social governance under the rule of law, and promote a peaceful, civilized, and just society.

The legal instruments disseminated during the activity included selected provisions of the Penal Code, the Civil Code, and Decree No. 77/PM, dated 28 February 2018, on Legal Aid, as well as the provision of mobile legal consultation services. During the implementation period, participants showed strong interest, actively raised issues, and engaged in open discussions and experience sharing, contributing to a lively and interactive atmosphere.

On this occasion, the district task force also distributed legal materials, including law booklets and posters on legal consultation services, to the villages.

At the conclusion of the activity, the Chairperson delivered key remarks, emphasizing that village authorities and local residents who participated in the outreach should remain vigilant, proactive, and responsible in relation to legal compliance. He encouraged them to apply the knowledge gained from the dissemination of legal instruments into their daily work and practice in a strict and effective manner, contributing to a peaceful, just, and civilized society, and progressively moving towards a rule of law state in the Lao PDR.
