Legal Aid
On 25 June 2026, an outreach activity on laws and legal instruments, together with mobile legal aid services, was conducted in Naphakaeo Village, Mahaxay District, Khammouane Province.
The activity was led by Mr. Khamsathit Phommady, Head of the District Justice Office of Mahaxay, together with staff and heads of technical units of the Office. The activity was also attended by representatives of the Phonmuang Cluster Administration Committee.
The legal instruments and regulations disseminated to the local population included:
- The Civil Code, No. 55/NA, dated 06 December 2018;
- Court registration and family registration procedures;
- Roles and responsibilities of the District Justice Office of Mahaxay;
- Decree No. 626/PM on Village Mediation, dated 22 October 2021;
- Decree No. 77/PM on Legal Aid, dated 28 February 2018;
In addition, mobile legal aid desk services were provided to support access to legal consultation for local residents.
